In my free time, I play the Scottish Highland Bagpipes.

I started bagpiping in my junior year back at Macalester College and competed with the Grade 5 Macalester College Pipe Band for 2015 season.

I used to compete as a soloist in Grade 3 and play with Grade 4 pipe band Madison Pipes & Drums under the Midwest Pipe Band Association. (Grade 1 is the highest level in bagpiping.)

It was my great honor to go back and play solo at Macalester College for two of my professors' tenure announcements in Nov. 2018. Bagpiping is a tradition for tenure announcement at Mac.
