NewWave DTS 2025

Orientation and first week of New Wave DTS — done!

Week 01: June 20 - June 27

We began with Orientation Week, learning about YWAM’s story and God’s story through Setra Andrianala and Champion Santini, and discovering how to manage cross-cultural stress with our staff.

Then we moved into our first lecture week, diving into “Relationship with God and Lordship of Jesus” with Laza Andriatiana and Ioly Nivoarindrano.

The students are so curious, hungry to know God more, and growing deeper in their faith together.

We’re so excited to see how they continue to walk in surrender and discover God’s heart for them and the nations!

Week 2 | Hearing God's voice , Inductive Bible Method

Week 2 done — and what a privilege it was!

This week we had Andrianjaka Rabearivelo, who taught online on Hearing God’s Voice, intercession, and spiritual warfare.

We also had Fafa Rakotoniaina with us for Inductive Bible Study — such a great time of digging deeper into the Word!

The students were super engaged, asking lots of questions, really interested, and very interactive!

Some of them got sick, but thank God they are already feeling much better.

We also celebrated Canada Day and American Independence Day! We took time to pray for both nations and for their representatives among us.

Week 3: Father's heart of God

Father’s Heart of God with Isaac Maina

This week, our students were deeply touched as Maina Gitata Isaac shared on the Father’s heart of God. His teaching and personal testimony helped them experience God as a loving Father, receive forgiveness, and learn to forgive others.

We’re so thankful for the healing and transformation happening! Please keep praying for them as they continue this journey of knowing God’s love more deeply.

Week 4: Releasing Destiny

This week touched something deep in our hearts.

With Joseph Watson, we discussed the Father’s love. We transitioned from an orphan spirit to truly living as sons and daughters of a loving God. We are fearfully and wonderfully made — not by accident, but on purpose (Psalm 139)

There were tears , laughter , and so many moments where God gently reminded us who we are.

Grateful for Joseph — a joyful, powerful, and deeply real speaker

Week 5: Identity from scripture, Family and Community

Such a powerful and deep week with Rod E. Smith!

God used this time to renew our minds, challenge us to reflect deeply, and realign us with His truth.

We are learning to see ourselves through God’s eyes, not the world’s.

It was thought-provoking and full of truth.

Week 6: Praise and Worship

Safidy’s testimony

My name is Safidipitiavana Santatra

All my life I was a slave to fear and worry. The kind of fear that paralyzes.

I was afraid of the unknown, afraid of the future, afraid of speaking in public, afraid of people’s opinions, afraid of being rejected, and afraid of just standing and speaking.

I was the kind of person who sought people’s approval and did everything I could for others to accept me and love me back.

I hated my body and my face. When I looked in the mirror, I just couldn’t see myself as beautiful. I thought no one would ever love me in the future. My self-esteem was so low .

But I didn’t know… until God revealed to me that these were wounds I had been carrying for a long time.

But during those six weeks, I saw a breakthrough!

God showed me that He doesn’t see me the same way .

Those were lies from the enemy that I believed all my life.

Now I know my identity through my Father’s eyes and what He speaks over me.

Because the Voice of Truth says a different story:

He loves me deeply.

He cares for me and my needs.

His love is unconditional—nothing I do can add or remove it.

Now I see myself through His eyes:

Fearfully and wonderfully made.

God’s Masterpiece.
