Volunteers will paint whimsical wooden snowmen ornaments to be donated to seniors at a local Assisted Living facility.

Volunteers will create fun cards using vintage and multicultural postage stamps to thank local postal workers, to be donated to the Staunton Post Office (and others, if enough are made!).

Volunteers will wrap a variety of books and write hints on the outside, to be scattered among Free Little Libraries in the SAW area ahead of the holiday season to spread some mysterious fun.

Volunteers will trace/cut out hand prints to create 3D I Love You cards to be donated to preschoolers at the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind. 

Friday, December 12th

6:00-7:30pm, Staunton or Fishersville

Volunteers will first learn how to crochet, then will be given time (and materials to take home) to crochet a scarf to be donated to the Valley Mission for those experiencing homelessness. 

Tuesday, December 16th

5:30-6:30pm, Staunton

Volunteers will create and tape positive little messages onto LifeSaver mints to be donated to the Shenandoah LGBT Center to disperse at events and at their space.

6:30-7:30pm, Staunton

Volunteers will learn how to do a basic stitch, and will be given time to create a sensory lap blanket to be donated to a local Memory Care unit.

Sunday, December 28th

3:00-4:00pm, Staunton

Volunteers will assemble appreciation gift bags to donate to teachers upon return from break (school/grade level/position to be determined by whole group, depending on how many are made).
