Volunteers will help clean out the basement of a couple's grandmother's home who cannot do it themselves. This project is through Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta, and requires volunteers to wear masks and gloves.

Saturday October 10 (1:00-2:00p), Waynesboro

Volunteers will help beautify a local Natural Playground by moving stones and logs, weeding, picking up trash, mulching, and more. 

Saturday, October 10

10:00a-12:00p, Staunton

Volunteers will help load books into trucks at Christ Lutheran Church in Staunton, then unload the books into the Gypsy Hill Gym. Dollies and carts will be used. Option to just load or unload; your own transportation is needed from the church to the gym. Pizza party at the end!

Sunday, October 11th

12:00-1:00p, Waynesboro

Volunteers will assist the Blue Ridge Children's Museum with creating example crafts for upcoming programs, such as catapults, beaded corn, Halloween masks, and more. 

Saturday, October 17th

6:00-7:00pm, Churchville

Volunteers will assist the local Non-Profit "The Donation Station" with various tasks such as organizing donated items, sorting clothing by size, fixing damaged items, and more. 

Monday, October 19th

6:30-7:30p, Staunton

Volunteers will learn about local animal shelters, look at their websites, and create art based off animal pictures. (phone/laptop required - bring your own, or let us know if you need to borrow one!)

Monday, October 19th

7:30-8:30p, Staunton

Volunteers will write or craft cards to send to veterans through an organization such as Hugs for Soldiers or Wounded Warrior Project, in addition to learning about what each organization does.

Wednesday, October 28

6:00-8:00p, Staunton

Volunteers will assist with the YVC table by handing out free things, greeting people, talking about your YVC experience, setting up/taking down the table, and/or overseeing the activity/game.

Thursday, October 29th

6:30-7:30p, Fishersville

Volunteers will take stock of materials, decide what will go in each tin, then assemble care package tins to donate to People Places (in addition to learning about what People Places does for our community).

Friday, October 30th

6:30-8:00p, Staunton

Volunteers will assist with the YVC table by handing out candy, facilitating a craft or activity, and helping to clean-up the event at the end.

Saturday, October 31st

12:00-2:00p, Waynesboro

Volunteers will assist the Blue Ridge Children's Museum with their Halloween Party in a variety of ways based on youth interest, including set-up and clean-up, assisting with the craft table, playing with children at the exhibits, and more.
