Volunteer Committees
Have You Signed Up Yet?!?
The PA is looking for you! We are a parent led, parent inspired organization that helps add to the already amazing community at Yu Ying by offering lots of events and services throughout the school year. The school asks that each family make it their goal to contribute a minimum of 20 volunteer hours each year. Through our efforts with the help of all the parents, we are able to pull together, channel our resources and enthusiasm, and provide cultural months, fundraisers, garden clean up, and much more. We have so many great events and ways to get involved from an hour or two working a booth at Fall Fest to helping run teacher appreciation week to sorting through the lost and found.

What are Room Parents? Room Parents are a vital link between the school, the individual teachers, and other parents. It is a rewarding job and one that adds greatly to the Yu Ying community. (2) Keep families "in the loop" (e.g., last-minute reminders like, "Don't forget class pictures are tomorrow!"); and
(3) Support teachers in any way they need (e.g., coordinating volunteers for field trips, reminding families about upcoming MAP testing, or even helping plan celebrations like a "publishing party" to celebrate the end of a writing unit)
