Dr. Yuxiao Zhou

Dr. Yuxiao Zhou is currently a tenure-track assistant professor at the J. Mike Walker '66 Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Prior to joining TAMU, Dr. Zhou received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2020, M.S. degree from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in 2015, and B.S. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in China in 2012. She has been working as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University since 2020. Her research focuses on the intersection of biomechanics, orthopaedics, and tissue engineering bone scaffold. The research goal of Zhou lab is to seek better treatment methods for challenging bone diseases and injuries using a combination of multi-scale mechanical testing, advanced image processing, mathematical modeling, and finite element methods.
