Yusuf SALEEM, better known as YuYu, is a 13-year-old artist, author, and podcaster from Australia who’s quickly becoming one of the most creative young voices of his generation. With an impressive discography, original book series, and a growing podcast, Yusuf blends heart, honesty, and imagination in everything he does.
He made his music debut with the album LOST in 2023, a reflective and emotional project that captured the ups and downs of that year. In January 2025, he expanded on that story with LOST (Deluxe Edition), which included new material like the song "Always", a collaboration with his close friend Imran El Masri, also known as Imranimranyes, who produces instrumentals on BandLab. The duo also created "Sprinkles In The Sky", showcasing their chemistry as young creatives. In March 2025, Yusuf released 10+11, an album that paid tribute to each of his family members in his signature storytelling style.
His official debut EP, 13FOREVER, is set to release on November 10, 2025, capturing what it means to grow up, hold onto your youth, and reflect on what truly matters at 13.
Beyond music, Yusuf is also an author. His debut book series, Kid Yusuf, follows a middle schooler and his best friend Bon as they deal with bullies, uncover secrets, and face a mystery that could change their school forever. His second series, The Very, begins with Detect The Very, a story about a girl named Anya who can see the universe's hidden code. When strange “Flickers” start showing visions of possible disasters, she teams up with her bodyguard Jax to find out what’s going on—before the mysterious villain Kai uses it for his own plans. The sequel, Unravel The Very, arrives in August.
Yusuf is also the creator and host of the podcast YuYu and Friends, where he and a rotating cast of guests—including Beau Crampton, Ethan Mungevan, Eisa Syed, and others—talk about life, music, stories, and the world around them.
Whether he's writing books, recording music, or podcasting with friends, Yusuf SALEEM brings energy, depth, and creativity far beyond his years.
