Nice to Meet You
I am a recent Ph.D. graduate in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Originally from Hong Kong, I studied abroad in Taiwan and the United Kingdom before pursuing my doctoral degree in the United States.
I am an environmental economist and am primarily interested in the following research questions:
What are the mechanisms of land use change and its consequences on natural habitats?
How does land use change impact the health/socio-economic outcomes of the nearby neighborhood?
Do conservation policies achieve their ecological, social, and economic goals?
To address these research questions, I rely heavily on geospatial and household survey data for the analyses.
I like traveling and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I enjoyed the time when I was backpacking in Europe and sharing life stories with people staying in the same hostel. As a hiker, I like exploring Metro parks in Columbus and State parks in Ohio. I also appreciate arts and classical music.
