Yuriy Zhukov: The Bridge of his Destiny Zhukov

All human life is connected with bridges. Bridges act as a link between cities and countries, forming the most important transit and transport corridors. They combine the shores, cities, and people's lives, the most important means of interaction, trade, and cultural cooperation. Without the construction of bridges, it is impossible to imagine globalization and the development of civilization.

Rubezh-M is one of the key enterprises in the Bridges and Tunnels segment of the country's construction industry. For more than twenty years, the company has been headed by the founder and general manager Yuriy Zhukov, who is rightfully called the genius of motor-building craftsmanship.

Yuriy Zhukov was born in Kazan, and he came to the profession for an idea. Yuriy froze with admiration from childhood when he rode a train over a bridge or in a tunnel. After launching a large-scale project to build a unique bridge across the Kama, which was strategically important for the development of the region in the Republic of Tatarstan, Zhukov firmly decided to link his future with the construction of bridges.

In 1992, Yuriy Zhukov received a diploma in specialized secondary education in the specialty "Commodity Expert" at the Kazan Technical School. Then he continued his engineering and technical education, enrolling in the Kazan State Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering. And in September 2000, he founded his own company, Rubezh-M.

Today Rubezh-M is the leader in the construction industry. The company specializes in designing and constructing bridge crossings and hydraulic structures. Rubezh-M conducts technically complex, dangerous, and unique capital construction projects in overhaul, design, construction, reconstruction, maintenance of engineering complexes, and technical means of protection, energy, automation, and communication of oil and gas industry facilities.

Rubezh-M uses the latest technologies and innovative approaches in its activities, so it isn't easy to compete with it. The company was the first to introduce technology using lightweight, high-quality concrete to construct bridges with wide spans. Rubezh-M is also a leader in applying the anchor technology method, thanks to which the company can implement projects in the shortest possible time, without restricting the movement of road and rail transport, and at the same time guarantee high quality and safety of the object.

Another critical step in the company's development is the protection of the environment. Rubezh-M has its development program, which includes thirteen environmental targets related to air emissions, the discharge of pollutants into the soil and water bodies, energy consumption, deforestation, and the creation of artificial barriers.

Rubezh-M employs about two thousand qualified employees, and people are the main force. Specialists are constantly trained to develop their professional skills. As an experienced manager, Yuriy Zhukov sets an example for his team and young professionals who come to practice at the company. Zhukov always supports the acquisition of new knowledge and experience. He is a member of the scientific council of the department "Bridges, tunnels and building structures" of the Automobile and Road State Technological University (MADI), initiates scientific research, writes author articles in specialized scientific publications, participates in industry conferences, takes an active part in the training and practical preparation of future technical specialists in bridge and tunnel construction.

In 2013, the head of "Rubezh-M" was awarded the title "Honorary Builder of the Country" and was awarded a certificate and a badge. In 2018, Yuriy Zhukov was awarded a particular diploma from the Ministry of Construction for his significant unique contribution to developing artificial structures for the country's transport infrastructure. Since 2018, Yuriy Zhukov has been a regular participant of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is known as a unique event in economics and business, held under patronage and with the personal participation of the President.
