I’m Steven Alexie, founder of YK Tribal Consulting DBA Yupik Bookkeeping, based in Alaska. With more than 20 years of experience serving Alaska Native Tribes, Tribal organizations, and regional corporations, I specialize in Tribal governance, financial management, and bookkeeping.

My background includes roles with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Calista Corporation, Donlin Gold LLC, and various Tribal governments, where I’ve supported financial systems, grant reporting, and policy development. I hold certifications in QuickBooks Online, Payroll, and Bookkeeping, and I have a Tribal Governance Certificate with an emphasis in accounting and finance from University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Through Yupik Bookkeeping, I provide professional bookkeeping, payroll, Tribal grant reporting, and audit preparation — combining cultural understanding with modern accounting tools. My goal is to help organizations stay accountable, compliant, and financially confident while honoring Tribal sovereignty and self-determination.
