FACILITY

Bldg 503 Room # 402

Our lab is specialized in

1. Organic/inorganic syntheses of ligands and metal complexes

2. Handling of highly air/moisture sensitive chemicals

3. Physical methods for characterizations

- Multinuclear nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy

- Low temperature optical (UV-Visible) spectroscopy

- Infrared (IR) spectroscopy

- Mössbauer spectroscopy

- X-band electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy

- High-resolution electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry

- Analytical measurements on gas chromatography and cyclic voltammetry

- X-ray crystallography

- DFT calculation

For dealing with highly air/moisture sensitive chemicals, we are working with following facilities.

1. Dry box for air/water sensitive compounds

2. Solvent system

3. Schlenk lines

4. Hoods and benches

5. Balances and Rotovap

6. UV and CV

7. Single Crystal X-ray Diffractometer; Bruker D8 Quest equipped with a microfocus sealed Mo X-ray Tube.
