About me

I'm Yung-Chieh Hsieh, a Ph.D. student (expect to graduate in 2027) in the math department at Rutgers University - New Brunswick. I'm working under the guidance of Dr. Matthew P. Young.

I obtained my B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU) and my M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Although initially trained to be an engineer, I transferred to mathematics and to the Ph.D. program in Mathematics of Rutgers University - New Brunswick in 2024.
