Hymson is the company who lead me into automation industry. I learnt much of hands-on skills from the company. For a new-grad employee, Hymson USA provided us two rounds of training: factory based technique and management training, and an on-site delivery practice. Unfortunately, because of One Big Beauty Bill Act, most of clients which have signed contracts halted their orders. As a result, the headquarter laid off all engineers hired in the United States, including me, even the company had spent millions of dollars on these employees' training in the past two years.
I worked in Hymson China in this period. This is a factory-based training for new-grad employees hired in the United States. During this period, I practiced my hands-on skills in mechanical industry. For example, for a hole on a steel panel. it's just a round with diameter and some tolerance sign. While in practice, proficiency of operator, vibration of the driller base, even type of drill head would affect the performance of tolerance. Though I have learnt tolerance in classrooms, hands-on experience is still critical to affect my future design.
In the five month training, I took part in the full cycle to build an automatic production line from metal panels, wires, motors, cylinders. To be a future project manager, understanding techniques are very important. With hands-on experience, a workable deliver schedule can be worked out, instead of following standard work hours.

As the original plan, the company wants me and other new hired US employees to complete the general assembly period at Jiangmen factory. But due to the 5-month rule for US F-1 visa holders, I had to go back to the United States before April, 2024.
