About:
Yuming Sun is a Ph.D. Candidate in Operations Research at Georgia Tech ISyE. He is advised by Dr. Pinar Keskinocak and Dr. Lauren Steimle. He is interetsed in the innovative applications of operations research methologies into the the healthcare domain, including healthcare delivery, epideimic control, resource allocation, and economic analysis.
In a collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Gates Foundation, and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, he is focusing on expediting the global polio eradication through simulation, optimization, and statistical analysis.
Prior to his Ph.D., he received a M.S. degree in Operations Research at Georgia Tech and a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
