Biography

I am assistant professor at Sam Houston State University Department of Public Health.  My post-doctoral fellowship advisor at MD Anderson are Professor Tina Shih and Professor Robert Volk. Currently, my research projects include racial/ethnic disparities in cancer screening, treatment, and medical costs in the US, and comparative public health policy related to lung cancer screening. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Health Policy and Management at Emory University. My research focuses on the adoption of conservative treatment for cancer, and the use of new technology for cancer screening and detection. I am also interested in comparative health system analysis. My Ph.D. advisor is Professor David Howard.
