I obtained my PhD degree in the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Berkeley (ITS Berkeley). My research interests gear towards developing machine learning, deep reinforcement learning and optimization algorithms to solve real-world problems in the field of air transportation. I am particularly interested in data-driven problems related to automation in intelligent transportation systems and urban air mobility. My research vision is to utilize my knowledge and research experience in data science and mathematical programming to not only improve the efficiency and safety of the air transportation system, but also to make the system accessible to a vastly broader range of vehicles and missions. 

I am currently working at Amazon as a full-time Applied Scientist.
