About
Yulan He (何瑜岚) is a Professor in Natural Language Processing at the Department of Informatics of the King's College London, UK. She is also an Honorary Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Warwick, UK. Her research interests lie in the integration of machine learning and natural language processing for text analytics. She has published over 220 papers. Topics include machine reading comprehension, model interpretability and trustworthy AI, NLP for health, finance and education, and claim veracity assessment. She currently holds a five-year Turing AI Fellowship, funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
Yulan obtained her PhD degree in spoken language understanding from the University of Cambridge, and her MEng and BASc (First Class Honours) degrees in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
