We are the Quiroz family, a family of six, striving to raise my children in the ways of Torah here in North Dallas, Texas. Among our beloved children, one has returned to the presence of the Almighty.
Hashem has been guiding my steps, refining my heart and mind, preparing me to extend His loving-kindness to the remote villages and communities of Alaska, so they may witness the wonders of His truth. For some time now, Hashem has placed a deep concern in my heart for the people of rural Alaska. Not a day passes without my thoughts turning to those who dwell in these distant villages and the isolated places between towns. After our son Krewshyn returned to the Creator, this calling became even clearer.
Watching the hardships our son endured in his short time on earth was an immense trial, yet Hashem, in His mercy, granted him peace. Through this journey, our entire family was drawn closer to the Eternal One. I thank Hashem daily for this experience, for through it, I have come to see His glory more deeply than ever before.
As the Scriptures teach:
"This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.
The kindness of Hashem has not ended, His mercies are not exhausted.
They are renewed every morning; abundant is Your faithfulness!
Hashem is my portion, says my soul, therefore I have hope in Him.
Hashem is good to those who trust in Him, to the soul that seeks Him."
(Lamentations 3:21-25)
The mercies of Hashem are often hidden from our sight in the moment, yet they are ever-present. About a year ago, Hashem stirred within me a compassion for a region I had never known. In the days following Krewshyn’s passing, He revealed why.
Three words were impressed upon my heart: "Belief affects behavior." I asked Hashem repeatedly why He placed this message upon me. He answered by reminding me of the sorrow I felt for my son, a sorrow that reflects the depth of His own sorrow for the lost. Then He placed these words upon my heart:
"As much as you believe, so shall you act toward My lost sheep. Feed My sheep. Tend to My flock. Care for My people."
Every day, countless souls awaken without knowing their Creator, and for many, time will run out. I hear Hashem’s voice stirring within me, asking, "Who will help? Who will share My truth with those in need?"
Krewshyn’s life was filled with purpose, woven with the breath of Hashem from beginning to end. I thank the Almighty for this journey, for today, despite all trials, we walk in the joy of Hashem.
Join us as we embark on this sacred mission—to share the sustenance of life with those in remote Alaskan communities and to assist them in their physical needs.
