Our laboratory, based at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and University of Maryland School of Medicine, focuses on developing translational informatics approaches to reveal novel human disease mechanisms. We have developed a range of integrative analysis approaches to dissect multi-source high-dimensional biological data for novel association discovery between different biological entities under different biological states. Our team contains extensive collaborative research experience in bioinformatics, medical informatics, ontology, software engineering, biomedical and basic science fields. Our research mission is to improve human health by leveraging advanced informatics approaches to analyze multi-source “big” biomedical data and identify potential disease mechanisms that can be translated to disease prevention and treatment in the precision medicine era.
