Tainan Municipal Yu-Jing Junior High was established in May, 1946. Initially, it served as a branch of the Tainan Municipal Hisn-Hua Junior High. Before the school recited to its current address in November, 1964, it was located north east of the Yu-Jing Post Office and the Yu-Jing Fruit Market. Mr. Fu-Chen, Chen was the first director in school history to supervise a total of 2 classes or 96 students in specific.
September/1948 – the formerly known Tainan County Government appointed Mr. De-Jung, Chang as director and had Mr. Shao-Guang, Nie succeeded his position the following February. The school was temporarily supervised by the National Yu-Jing Senior Vocational School of Technology and Commerce in the same year.
August/1961 – the school was no longer a branch or supervised by other parties. Mr. Hai-Shu, Chuang was named the first Principal in school history.
November/1964 – Mr. Shi, Liang was appointed Principal. Under his supervision, the school began reciting to its current address in the same year.
February/1997 – Mr. Shui-Chu, Shen was appointed Principal. The 8th in school history. In order to create a dynamic learning environment for the students, Principal Shen worked to expand the campus and was able to put up a gymnasium and a multifunctional complex for the school.
August/2001 - Mr. Chin-Te, Chen was named Principal. The 9th in school history.
August/2005 - Mrs. Hsiu-Chin, Shih was named Principal. The 10th in school history.
August/2009 - Mr. Chia-Hung, Tsai was named Principal. The 11th in school history.
4th March/2010 – the Chia-Hsien earthquake took place. The school was severely hit and five damaged facilities were taken down on command. Tzu-Chi came in and put up 15 prefabricated or semi-permanent classrooms for the school.
25th December/2010 – Tainan County Government joined Tainan City Government for political reasons. The school was then renamed as Tainan Municipal Yu-Jing Junior High School. A number of government parties and non-government organizations (NGOs) were able to give support to refurbish the school after the earthquake took place. They are the Ministry of Education, the formerly known Tainan County Government, the Tainan City Government, the Tsu-Chi Foundation, the Rotary Club (Tainan South East), and the Formosa Plastics Group, namely. In specific, the Formosa Plastics Group offered to donate 3 buildings of classrooms to the school. Also, the Tainan City Government helped reconstructed the school’s camping area.
August/2012 – the school was fully refurbished. The students were finally able to return and learn comfortably in a safe environment.
August/2013 – Mr. Chia-Hung, Tsai was appointed Principal again. The 12th in school history.
6th February/2015 – Tainan Earthquake caused serious damage the specialist building that needed to be repaired after evaluation. The specialist building was demolished with government funds and rebuilt with donations from Taiwan Lions Club. The ground was broken in June 2016.
August/2017 – Mr. Cheng-Mou, Ho was appointed Principal. The 13th in school history.
June/2018 – the specialist building was fully refurbished and opened to provide students with a variety of learning fields.
August/2021 – Mr. Cheng-Mou, Ho was appointed Principal again. The 14th in school history.
