Welcome to my website!
I am an assistant professor at the Department of Economics at Boston University.
My primary research focus is on economic geography and networks, i.e., how the networks of production, demand, and people's movement shape socio-economic activity within cities and across regions and countries, and how they influence the optimal policy design.
I tackle these questions using a combination of theories from trade, urban, and macro economics, as well as new sources of granular data, such as firm-to-firm trade and smartphone location data.
In 2025, my research was recognized by the August Lösch Prize for outstanding research in Regional Science. See the slides that summarize my recent papers and agenda.
During the academic year 2025-2026, I am visiting Princeton University as an IES Kenen Fellow (Room 295 @ 399 JULIS ROMO RABINOWITZ BUILDING).
