My research focuses on tactile intelligence for embodied robotics. I develop soft multimodal sensors and electronic skins, investigate their underlying transduction mechanisms and mechanics, and integrate them with learning-based perception for dexterous manipulation and natural human-robot interaction. My work spans force-temperature self-decoupled sensing, optical and magnetic tactile interfaces, wearable human-machine interfaces, and miniature soft robots. The broader goal is to build embodied systems that perceive contact, reason about physical interaction, and adapt their behavior in real time.
