Personal

I'm currently a visiting assistant professor at University of California Santa Cruz.

I recieved my PhD from Imperial College London in 2019 under the supervision of André Arroja Neves. Starting from September 2022 I'll be a visiting faculty at Johns Hopkins University.

My current email is ysun174 AT jhu DOT edu

Research Interest

My research interest lies in Differential Geometry, Geometric Analysis and Calculus of Variations. I'm especially interested in Minimal surfaces, harmonic maps and related topics.

Teaching in UC Santa Cruz

I'm teaching math 24 O.D.E and math 212 differential geometry in 2022 spring quarter. The following is the past courses I've taught:

math24 Ordinary Differential Equations (lower division)

math106 Systems of Ordinary Differential Equations (lower division)

math121A Differential Geometry (upper division)

math105A Real Analysis I (upper division)

math105B Real Analysis II (upper division)

math103A Complex Analysis (upper division)

math212 Differential Geometry (graduate)

math213A Partial Differential Equations I (graduate)

math213B Partial Differential Equations II (graduate)

Other than math, I like to hike, do rock climbing and pole dancing!
