Long ago, before the giraffe grew its neck, before the dodo forgot how to fly, and while the Rooby-Doobies and Thinkamisimi still roamed the Earth, Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi was the royal fool to King Schlimmek. Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi was by no means a good fool. Not once did he ever earn a laugh, a chuckle, or even a meager grin from Schlimmek’s court. Only ever, did they laugh, at Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi, never with him, for his greatest affliction was his rotten brain. This is how Schlimmek preferred things, for he was the smartest Gremloid that ever was and loved the attention. Schlimmek kept Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi and his rotten brain, as unfunny as he was, so that he might appear more impressive by comparison.
One day, Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi grew tired of being made the fool. Why should he not have a turn as the most intelligent, most impressive Gremloid and let Schlimmek play the fool? So, one night, after King Schlimmek had put his brain to bed for the night, Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi snuck into his bedchamber and stole Schlimmek’s brain from its crib, replacing the pristine brain with his own rotten one.
The next morning, Schlimmek’s court entered to find not the king upon the throne, but Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi, his head suddenly swollen ten times its normal size and pulsing with important thoughts. He said big words like loquacious, capriciousness, and antidisestablishmentarianism and knew what they all meant. Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi basked in the praise of the court, while Schlimmek rolled on the floor as if he were a lowly worm. Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi sang and danced and was loved when suddenly he tripped over worm-Schlimmek. Down went Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi and his swollen brain fell out of his head when he hit the ground and bounced right into the skull of Schlimmek.
Many truthers believe Lewis Carroll's Cheshire Cat to be a depiction of Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi.
Schlimmek, intelligence regained, pulled himself up off the floor, fury in his eyes. How dare Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi make a fool of him! King Schlimmek, with the wrath of a thousand suns, said unto Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi, “Fool, I curse you! Forever shalt thou live in anonymous stupidity with none but your rotten brain for company!” With a wave of his hand, Schlimmek banished Yub-Yub Bokinokinobi to the space between spaces, the moment between moments, and robbed him of his faculties.
