This Privacy Policy explains how the Android app Lyrix - Dynamic Lyrics ("Lyrix", "the app", "we") handles information. Lyrix (package name: com.pes.yubepip) is published on Google Play by the developer mobile starter, an independent individual developer. Lyrix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, LRCLIB or any music service.
In short
Lyrix has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. We do not run our own servers, and we do not collect, sell or share your personal information. Everything the app keeps stays on your device.
Information the app reads on your device
Notification access (optional). If you allow it, Lyrix uses Android notification access only so that the system lets it read media sessions from music apps: the song title, artist, album, length, playback position and play/pause state, and which app is playing. Lyrix never reads, stores or sends the content of your notifications, such as messages.
Music files (optional). If you allow access to music, Lyrix reads the audio files stored on your phone and their title, artist, album and length so it can list and play them. Your files are never uploaded.
Display over other apps (optional). Used only for the floating lyrics bar, which stays off until you turn it on.
Notifications. Used to show the lyrics notification (only if you turn it on) and the playback controls while Lyrix plays your music.
Information sent from your device
Lyrics. To find lyrics, Lyrix sends the song title, artist, album and length, and any text you type into "Search lyrics", to LRCLIB (https://lrclib.net), a free community lyrics service, over HTTPS. Like any internet request, this also reveals your device's IP address to LRCLIB. LRCLIB's own terms and privacy practices apply to that service.
Videos. The video player uses YouTube API Services to show videos, channels, playlists and search results, and plays videos with the official embedded YouTube player. Requests include the search terms you enter and the IDs of the videos, channels and playlists you open. When you use the video player, your device communicates directly with Google/YouTube, which may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, cookies and viewing activity according to their own policies.

You can review or revoke the access of third-party apps connected to your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions (Lyrix does not ask you to sign in and does not access your Google account).
Information stored on your device
Saved lyrics, your settings (lyrics notification, floating lyrics, text size and timing adjustments), and your video favorites, playlists, followed channels, watch history and search history are stored only on your device. Video and channel lists are kept for up to 30 days so they can be shown offline. You can clear saved lyrics, history and saved content in the app's settings, or remove everything by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings.
Android Auto
When you use Lyrix in Android Auto, the car display shows your own music library and the title of the song that is playing. Lyrics are not shown on the car screen.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share information about you. The only data that leaves your device are the requests to LRCLIB and YouTube API Services described above, which are needed for those features to work.
Children
Lyrix is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Your data stays on your device. Network requests to LRCLIB and Google are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
