Yuan Zhao

I am a PhD candidate at the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University. I am currently at the beginning of my fifth year and expected to graduate in 2026. My research explores how information from nontraditional sources and emerging technologies influence capital markets. I am particularly interested in fact-checking misinformation, social media, and open-source algorithms. 

Before I start my PhD journey, I earned a B.B.A. in Professional Accountancy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. In my spare time, I enjoy indoor cycling followed by a relaxing Zen yoga session. Sometimes, you can also find me at Bakery Studio or Spanish Studio as a beginning learner to explore some new skills.
