Introduction
This is an introductory course on political science for students majoring in international affairs at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages. Every week, the professor gives a 3-hour lecture, and I conduct a 1-hour session. There are three main goals of the TA sessions. First, to review and explain the important concepts introduced in the professor's lectures. Second, to encourage students to speak in English, especially during presentations and discussions on international issues. Last but not least, to provide students with supplementary materials on analytical tools in political science and political economy. Although the course starts with basic concepts, I also introduce advanced topics such as utility and game theory to help students integrate different subjects. The only prerequisite is high school-level math (see session 5). Please note that there may be some content in Chinese or translations, as the majority of the class consists of Taiwanese students.
