YTWhitelist Chrome filters the YouTube homepage to show videos from channels selected by the user and hides YouTube Shorts.

Information handled:

• Whitelisted YouTube channel URLs, IDs, and names

• Focus mode preferences

• Cached public YouTube video information, including titles, channel names, view counts, upload dates, durations, and thumbnail URLs

• Public YouTube page content needed to create the customized feed

How information is used:

This information is used only to provide the extension’s whitelist feed, Shorts blocking, channel management, and caching features.

Storage and sharing:

Settings and cached results are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. YTWhitelist Chrome does not sell user data, use advertising trackers, collect analytics, create user profiles, or send user data to the developer.

The extension requests public YouTube pages and thumbnails from YouTube. It does not collect passwords, payment information, health information, contacts, precise location, or a browsing history across other websites.

Data retention:

Local settings and cached results remain until the user removes them, clears extension data, or uninstalls the extension.
