YouTube Grid & Shorts Blocker ("the Extension") is a free Chrome extension that transforms YouTube's layout into a customizable grid view while providing options to remove Shorts content and streamline the sidebar. This policy explains our strict no-data-collection practices and compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
Personal data (emails, IP addresses, browsing history)
Video content, titles, or viewing history
Any information about your activity outside YouTube
Local Operations Only:
chrome.storage.sync: Stores your settings (grid scale level, Shorts removal toggle, sidebar compact setting) locally on your device and syncs them across your Chrome browsers if you are signed in. This data never leaves your Google account ecosystem.
No servers, databases, or third parties are involved in the operation of this extension.

Disable anytime: Remove the extension via Chrome's Extensions Manager (chrome://extensions)
Delete all data: Uninstalling the extension automatically erases all locally stored preferences
