xyauto ota update can brick an HU if contains display driver file ( logo.mrf Read here if want more details ) Do Simple System Backup before proceeding.
Unzip the update file and see if can find logo.mrf file in the customer_ota directory ( at top level ). If exist, then can brick your HU if not matching LCD.

Read Backup and do Simple System Backup before attempting any update.
These updates are used to update the whole firmware. Therefore they are only a bit smaller than PC firmwares and bigger than 1GB.
There are also other much smaller OTA updates. Size is normally between a few KB and 100MB. These OTA update files most have .tar.gz file extension and contain updated system apps, another launcher, small bugfixes, display drivers, preloaders or other things. The .tar.gz file may not be renamed (at least the last part), because they include a part of the MD5 hash sum of the file.
Warning: Avoid flash any of these files until familiar with Display Driver bricking issues. Ideally have done a backup just in case.
The simpler OTA update can be used when the system software's partition tables are unchanged:
<= 1.73.7 share partition table structure
1.73.8-1.75.1 share partition table structure
>= 1.80.1 share partition table structure
-> If current on <= 1.73.7, you cannot go higher via OTA as to 1.73.7.
-> Same for >= 1.73.8 and < 1.75.1, then you cannot go higher as to 1.75.1.
-> If currently on >= 1.80.1, can update to latest.
If you want to upgrade beyond these limits, more complex PC flashing is required.
Updating the firmware is fairly easy, BUT also easy to use wrong firmware and "brick" the unit. There are many hardware variations (screen in particular) and each with different firmwares. Make sure you completely understand the hardware configurations and process before starting. This page is mainly for YT5760B with 1024x600 landscape mode non mipi screen model (is what I have). Other configurations (vertical/portrait mode display, mipi, 768 high resolutions screens) need different firmware. Wrong firmware will brick the unit (boots but show blank screen) and requiring recovery process. Therefore it is critical to have the correct firmware file, so first make sure to know which system you have from the "Car Settings" -> "System Info" page. The firmware files are different for:
Different model numbers (example 5760B and 7260B have different firmware files)
2/4GB RAM models have the same firmware file and 6/8GB RAM models have the same firmware file. But 2/4GB RAM and 6/8GB RAM firmware files are different.
Vertical and horizontal orientation are different firmware files
Very wide aspect ratio HUs often have their own unique firmware file
Here is an example:
For example, this one above is:
5760B
1.73.8 firmware
2GB RAM
Horizontal orientation
See also Model variations and XYAUTO/XYGALA firmware overview. Find the firmware file starting with this table.
For the above example HU wanting to update to 1.75.1, look at the line 1.75.1, 5760B, horizontal, 2/4GB RAM and follow the link:
https://mega.nz/folder/hDEhFAqZ#A0JuPIKhW83X5NZgL2NSWg
Then choose the directory 1.75.1 2G Horizontal (2/4GB RAM HUs share the same firmware file, 6-8GB RAM HUs share the same firmware file):
https://mega.nz/folder/hDEhFAqZ#A0JuPIKhW83X5NZgL2NSWg/folder/JbUgHLwD
Then download the OTA file, copy onto the USB stick per directions below and update.
If not listed in the table, then need to search with directions from here. Unfortunately firmware maker XYAUTO/XYGALA makes it difficult.
WARNING : Important to have the correct firmware file for the correct HU from the "Car Settings" -> "System Info" page to avoid bricking. Ask XDA thread if uncertain

The upgrade will take a few minutes and HU need to be supplied with power. So power up the car fully. I have a Prius and while accessory mode will power up the HU, it will auto shutoff after sometime to conserve battery. Obviously probably brick if HU looses power during upgrade process.
download correct OTA firmware file
copy it to an empty USB stick (FAT32 or exFAT formatted); copy only a single update file to USB stick to avoid confusion
plug-in USB stick into HU and check if it's recognized by HU; if not, use other USB port
"Car Settings" -> "System Info" -> "Android upgrade" button
follow instructions on screen
Here are 2 videos with the procedure after copying the update file onto the USB stick:
Firmware update will reset several key parameters. Here is a short list you have set up again:
Set radio region and re-scan stations
Set Bluetooth name and pin
Set DSP profile
"Factory Settings" (password: 8888) -> "Split Screen Mode" -> "Open" (if you want split screen mode)
"Factory Settings" (password: 8888) -> "Navigation" (set default navigation)
"Factory Settings" (password: 8888) -> "Power Amplifier Setting" (resets to 100 on firmware update prior to 1.71 version, some suggest to set at 70. However 10/28/22 firmware default volume is much lower and requires 100 default value)
Load AGAMA Car Launcher settings from backup and set up apps' shortcuts again manually (if you use this launcher)
Generally "upgrading" to firmware version with same partition structure is possible via OTA. Read here:

Here is described how to create a small custom OTA file for flashing:

This guide is in Russian (you'll need to translate the site) and only for very experienced users. Even very small mistakes could fail flashing progress. A backup is highly recommended of course.
