I created custom ringtones with the extension m4r. I connected my iPhone to my pc, openned up iTunes and dragged the ringtones into tones. Then on my iPhone I tried to assign the custom ringtones to a contacts but they have no sound. The ringtones that came with the phone work fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've just moved house and have a new broadband/phone setup with BT SH2 and 2 advanced digital voice handsets. I've set one handset up, and am trying to figure out how to adjust the speech volume, which is a bit quiet for my ageing ear! Is this possible? Also, is there a choice of ringtones, and if so, where?

Earlier this year, I started getting audible notifications that my Google-voice activated phone (via Sprint) was receiving a call. Most of the time I get the notification before the phone actually rings. The ringtone is a bit annoying. Well, my wife has the same setup and somehow she has a different (less annoying) ringtone, so I'm wondering if Google just randomly picks something or what? We both have Google Apps accounts, so there's no difference there. Any ideas?

* All battery life claims are approximate and based on a standard mixed use profile. The mixed use profile is based on Motorola devices on major 4G LTE networks with excellent coverage and includes both usage and standby time. Out-of- box settings are applied to the mixed use profile to project battery performance. Actual battery performance will vary and depends on many factors including signal strength, network configuration, age of battery, operating temperature, features selected, device settings, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns.

My S22 phone got an update in January, and since then, I can not hear the voice of the caller when I answer the phone. I found out that if I tap the speaker icon twice, then I hear it. So now in every call I receive, I have to tap the speaker button, )open and close it) to hear the caller. Otherwise, I just don't hear them. And also another problem is; the ring sound doesn't work properly as well. It rings and the sound is not consistent, it comes and goes while it is ringing... Wierd... So; the latest update ruined all my usage experience. I see people telling exact same issues after the latest update. Where can I find an official announcement about this issue? When will Samsung fix this with a new System Software update? And is there a way to roll back to the previous system sovtware? (At the moment, I'm on UI ver: 6.0 S901EXXS7DWL8 / S901EOXM7DWL1 / S901EXXS7DXA5 )

Thanks. I just did both of what you adviced, however problem still persists. Especially, when I get a call, I answer it and can not hear their voice unless I tap the speaker and tap again. Only then I hear them. They hear my voice though. I tried this in Safe Mode, but the problem is still there. I think this is a Samsung Update issue. Because I don't add new apps regularly. I didn't change anything or insall anny aps in the last 6 months, other than the system update I made. It all started after the system update. And the problem is still there even in the safe mode.

Apple offers built-in ways to make music from iTunes as ringtones, but the biggest problem with these ringtones is that they are too common. Therefore, you can create a unique ringtone by recording the music from social platforms, etc. It's easy to record a personal ringtone on your iPhone, edit it properly, and make it stand out.

If you need an app that allows you to capture ringtones from various categories and record anything, Ringtone HD Maker is perfect for you. This app also supports connecting with third-party storage services. Once you launch this app, you can choose one from the categories or use the Record button to record any music from the speakers or use your own voice. Below is its interface. You can download it on your iPhone.

Luckily there is a way to mute ringtones but keep the call notification around. This means your iPhone will ring, but other devices will stay silent and just show you the incoming call, giving you an option to answer them or hang up right there.

Personalizing the smartphone you are using brings both aesthetic and practical benefits, which is why many iPhone owners are interested how to set up voice memo as ringtone. With the right software tools and a little bit of knowledge, this is possible to do with just a few clicks, allowing you to use practically any sound you want to denote incoming calls or other notifications.

The latest models of the iPhone allow extensive customization and allow the user to set up a song as a ringtone, among other elements. However, there are limitations to what you can do with built-in resources, so you might not be able to use a recording of your voice for a ringtone unless you find specialized software that can accomplish this task.

Many of the audio recording or sound editing tools that you already have on your iPhone could have the capacity to turn any voice recording into a ringtone. One of the most commonly used products of this kind is certainly GarageBand, which has been around for a long time and is well-known to most iPhone enthusiasts. This convenient audio tool provides the user with a mini studio on his phone and gives him the power to process sound in many different ways.

Did you make a custom ringtone with a voice memo by using GarageBand? Do you know of another approach for converting voice memos into ringtones or text tones for iPhone? Let us know your experiences and thoughts in the comments.

Thank you SO much for this tutorial! It worked great for me. The instructions were simple to follow and I now have a personalized ringtone for several people using their voice (that they approved me using). I thank you greatly!

Many phone speakers cannot reproduce very low frequencies so consider attenuating them (a gradual reduction in the amplitude of the sound level), especially if you are making a ringtone from an original high quality music file. On opening Effect > Filter Curve EQ you will notice a horizontal line at 0 dB, meaning that at that position, no changes are made to the volume of any frequencies. A curve can be created using the mouse, clicking at various points above or below the line. For ringtones, bring the line down to -24 dB on the vertical axis for the low frequencies from 30-300 Hz on the horizontal axis. You may want to increase the lower frequencies from 300 Hz to say 600 Hz by dragging them above 0 dB, then reduce the highest frequencies above say 10,000 Hz. This should make the sound somewhat richer and less "tinny" on a small cellphone speaker by emphasizing the frequency range it can reproduce best.

Note that some cellphones and mobile service providers do not allow the user to download customized free ringtones to the phone. For older phones may be useful in determining if the phone allows addition of free customized ringtones. If in doubt, always look at the manual for your phone for advice on downloading ringtones.

Using iTunes to manage your voice memo ringtone comes with a great risk to mess up your iTunes Library if you don't follow the official instruction properly, and that long-winded tale would always ask you to pay more patience to sit through.

2. For iOS 14 and lower:

 1. Connect your iDevice to the computer with a cable and launch DearMob iPhone Manager.

 2. Click Ringtone on the main UI for the voice memos management. Select the memos you want to export, and click Export on the top to download to your computer.

 3. Tick the memos you want to remove, and click Delete Voice Memos. Then hit Sync on the bottom-right corner of the window to synchronize the deletion to your device.

To hear Skype for Business sounds, select the Play sounds in Skype for Business (including ringtones for incoming alerts and IM alerts) check box, then if you'd like you can mute the sounds if you're in an IM conversation, or if your status is Busy or Do Not Disturb.

The Public Affairs Office & the Language Department have collaborated to create new multimedia featuring Otoe-Missouria Culture including ringtones. The ringtones were created as a way to combine tradition (Otoe-Missouria language) and modern technology (cell phones) in a fun way that gave tribal members a way to show their Otoe-Missouria pride. 0852c4b9a8
