About the YSM

The Young Statisticians' Meeting (YSM) is an annual two-day conference. It is an excellent opportunity for students and early-career statisticians to exhibit their work, discuss ideas and network with their peers in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Anyone in the first 10 years of their statistical career or currently studying for a PhD, MSc or BSc in statistics or a subject with statistical content is welcome.

The conference will feature keynote speakers from across academia and industry, as well as opportunities for early-career researchers to present their work as a poster or a 15-minute contributed talk. The abstract submission deadline will be the 30th April 2020.

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the YSM 2020 organising committee have decided to host the conference ONLINE, and it will be completely FREE for career young statisticians' GLOBALLY. The full details about how this will go ahead will be communicated through e-mail to the conference delegates ONLY, so please register though the Online Store.

A virtual PUB QUIZ will also take place on the evening of Wednesday 29th July, and that is something you do not want to miss out on!

A FREE pre-conference course “Essentials of Data Visualisation” with Robert Grant will also be held on the afternoon of Tuesday 28th July. Places are limited so secure your place as soon as possible!
