Short Biography

Yongsheng Dong received his Ph. D. degree in applied mathematics from Peking University in 2012. He was a postdoctoral research fellow with the Center for Optical Imagery Analysis and Learning, Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi’an, China from 2013 to 2016. From 2016 to 2017, he was a visiting research fellow at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently a full professor with the School of Information Engineering, Henan University of Science and Technology, China. His current research interests include pattern recognition, computer vision, machine Learning, deep Learning and statistical learning

He has authored and co-authored over 50 papers at famous journals and conferences, including IEEE TIP, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TCYB, IEEE TIE, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE SPL and ACM TIST. He is an associate editor of Neurocomputing. He has served as a reviewer for over 30 international prestigious journals and conferences, such as IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TIP, IEEE TCYB, IEEE TIE, IEEE TSP, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TCDS and ACM TIST. He has also served as a program committee member for more than 10 international conferences. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
