Our group is dedicated to synthesizing functional colloidal particles through emulsion and dispersion polymerization for self-assembled structures like colloidal crystals used in reflective displays.
We develop porous materials via chemical reactions, spray drying, and electrospinning, applying them as sound absorbers, thermal insulators, catalytic supports, adsorbents, and superhydrophobic coatings.
Additionally, we create stable dispersions of functional nanoparticles for transparent conductive films using electrospinning or spin coating, and synthesize silica nanoparticles from sodium silicate and CO2.
Our work also includes modeling biochemical processes and systems, such as catalytic reactors and reaction-diffusion systems using analytical and numerical methods such as COMSOL, MATLAB, and Equatran to validate against experimental data.
