Functions of several variables, surfaces in three-space, vectors, techniques of partial differentiation and multiple integration with applications. Students may not receive credit for both Math 212 and 213.

Textbook: OpenStax Calculus Vol. 3. This is an open source online textbook, but you can also get a physical copy at the bookstore. Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 contain all the necessary prerequisites, so you may use them as review if needed.

We will use Blackboard and Gradescope. All course information and materials will be posted both here and on Blackboard. Homework should be submitted via Gradescope. You should have already been enrolled in the course on Gradescope, if you log in via School Credentials.

Please remember to assign each page of your submission to the corresponding problem, otherwise I may not be able to easily find your solutions.
Mathematica is a very intuitive software system (compared to e.g. MATLAB or Maple) for mathematical computing and visualization. It will be our main tool for visualizing 3D space throughout the course.
You are encouraged, but not required to explore many topics with the help of Mathematica.
