Textbook: OpenStax Calculus Vol. 3. Our goal is to cover Chapter 1-6.
Comments on textbook: essentially all multivariable calculus textbooks at this level cover (more or less) the same materials, so you are welcome to read any of those as suplement. The only caveat is that the notations may not be consistent with ours.
Syllabus: pdf
Grades: 30% homework / weekly quiz + 70% exams (1 test, 1 midterm plus final), check the syllabus for details.
We will use Brightspace and Gradescope (you should have been added automatically via sync with Brightspace, but in case not, the entry code is R7VDPP; please enroll using your Stony Brook email)
Here are some instructional videos for submitting homework on Gradescope: Submit homework on the Gradescope mobile app,
Submit pdfs on the Gradescope website
Please remember to assign each page of your submission to the corresponding problem, otherwise we may not be able to easily find your solutions.

As SBU students, you have access to Mathematica for free: https://it.stonybrook.edu/services/wolfram-mathematica. Here I collect all the Mathematica notebooks used in class or for Problem Lists.
Quadric surfaces (for Sept 16 lecture), Curves of intersection (for Sept 23 lecture), Parametric curves (Problem List 4, #1), Hyperbolic paraboloid (Problem List 4, #8), Contour map (for Oct 7 lecture)
