You Wear Fine Frames Well is a multi-artist collaboration featuring 242 artists across the fandom that came together to create one big animation.
Our artists joined together to craft at least one frame each, resulting in a total of 267 frames of the infamous moonlight kiss between Ed and Stede in Season 2 of Our Flag Means Death.
So much love and care has been poured into each frame through a variety of amazing and creative mediums, many of whom broke out of their comfort zone to try something new, and to gorgeous result!
This reunion kiss between our two beloved main characters went down in fandom history, parallelling the original "You wear fine things well." scene from season 1 and ending in what so many of us hoped for back then - a kiss!
It re-wrote so many of our brains and caused much excited tears and screaming, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate that moment - as well as the show itself - than through this project.
This is one of many frame projects that multiple different fandoms have put together over the past couple of years.
A little trend that started with the beautiful Our Frames Mean Love project by Em and Cait.
If you haven't been intimately familiar with that one before now, please go check it out and give it lots of love as well!
Our project wouldn't be here without them.
This project is a continual love letter to everyone who made the show possible: the writers, cast, crew, and David Jenkins, our showrunner.
This project is also a love letter to everyone in the fandom, every creative who has played in this space with us, past and present, and to reaffirm that even though our show's time was cut short a little over a year ago, we are not going anywhere.
Thank you.
