Youth Stars is a Montreal-run, non-profit organization, founded in 2008, serving a diverse linguistic and cultural youth population. Our programs and workshops motivate youth and convey positive learning messages that foster life skills and healthy living habits.

Youth Stars Summer Camp 2025
Get ready for an exciting summer filled with arts, sports, music, dance, science, swimming, and nature!
From June 23rd to August 15th at École L’Altitude (Old Riverdale) in Pierrefonds, QC, campers ages 5-12 will explore new skills, make lasting friendships, and enjoy unforgettable adventures in a fun and supportive environment.
With engaging activities led by experienced instructors, this is a summer you won’t want to miss! Registration opens February 1st
Counsellor in Training (CIT) Program – Virtual Workshops
Counsellor in Training (CIT) Program – Virtual Workshops
The Youth Stars Counsellor in Training (CIT) Program is designed for youth ages 12-18 who want to develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience as an assistant camp counsellor. Through virtual workshops, participants will learn essential skills such as conflict resolution, behaviour management, professionalism, and leadership.
This program provides valuable training that prepares youth to work with campers, including those with special needs while earning a CIT certification. With one-hour sessions over eight consecutive weeks, participants will build confidence, enhance their resumes, and develop the skills needed to make a positive impact.

MALIK SHAHEED: From Hip-Hop Pioneer To Community Trailblazer
As the Executive Director of the Youth Stars Foundation, Malik Shaheed has spent nearly two decades empowering youth through camps, anti-bullying tours, and Black History Month initiatives. From interviewing hip-hop legends like Wyclef Jean and 50 Cent on MusiquePlus to advocating for Black youth as a school board commissioner, Malik’s journey is a testament to passion, resilience, and leadership.
Recognized as a 2024 Black Changemaker, Malik continues to uplift Quebec’s Black community while staying true to his roots in Little Burgundy.

As we embrace the spirit of the holidays, Youth Stars Foundation will be taking a break to rest and reflect. Our offices will be closed starting Monday, December 23rd, and we will reopen on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
We are deeply grateful for the continued support from our community throughout this year. We look forward to returning in the new year with renewed energy and excitement to continue empowering and inspiring youth.

Our CIT program is just what you are looking for and is now in full force for the new year! Learn leadership skills, communication skills, financial literacy and more. The CIT program is available to youth ages 12-18 who are currently attending high school, 2023-2024 school year. The workshops start April 2nd, 2024

West Island Student Art Hive - FREE PROGRAM!
A NEW and FREE art program for students aged 11-18 yrs. This program brings the community together to hear youth express themselves on diversity, inclusivity and equity through the arts. Students will create artwork after attending workshops from a mix of professional artists.
