Q: What type of projects will YLS be planning and producing?
A: We will do projects like: finalizing our website, publishing monthly issues, researching and advocating for issues that need a shed of light, as well as partnerships w/ passion project organizations! There will be more added onto the list surrounding topics like social change, mental health, education, and STEM, and we also consider ideas contributed by our members.
Q: What exactly is an Active Member?
A: All YLS members are Active Members, which are the official members of YLS. Active Members are selected out of the pool of applicants through their experience with leadership as well as their passion in advocating for the specific topics YLS targets. Active Members are given specific YLS roles such as Writers, Editors, Designers, Researchers, and Ambassadors.
Q: How are the Active Members and Executive Board communicating with each other?
A: Active Members will be communicating in the YLS exclusive Slack. We eventually may have monthly meetings via Zoom or Google Meet.
