The host organisation will follow, during the Youth Exchange the Health Protocol regarding the security and protection of all the participants and staff. The protection and security measures will be in accordance with the legislation in force at the time of the face-to-face activity, always considering the indications of the Portugal Ministry of Health, indications of accommodation, transport (international and national).
1) Travel Health Insurance and Health Safety during Coronavirus times
For this project it's mandatory for each participant to have a valid travel health INSURANCE for the entire period spent on the island! It should not be expensive and it takes just a little time to make one. Take into consideration that you will be in a foreign country, on an island, with strangers and in case something’s going to go wrong, you will need it!. Is mandatory for each participant to bring for himself/herself, at least 2 disposable face masks for every day of the project (including arrival and departure days) !
2) PCR TEST
Now, especially because of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the current situation around the world, we will be able to accept for this project, only participants with a valid PASSPORT document! It is mandatory for your flight tickets to be "Flexible", this means to be free of charge in case we/you will have to change the dates of the flight(s) !, at the time of boarding the plane, flying to Azores Island, a Negative Test Result for COVID-19 or With EU digital COVID certificate of vaccination or recovery is requested (more info you can find here https://destinoseguro.azores.gov.pt/?page_id=8908#teste ) ! Your test must be carried out 72 hours before your boarding and must be negative.. If your test is positive, you must isolate yourself at home and you will not be able to travel under any circumstances. Also you will need to do the test in the 6th day after first one in Azores! For those who travel with EU digital COVID certificate of vaccination or recovery the testing in Azores is not mandatory!Additional please register your travel to Azores on https://mysafeazores.com/ that will save a lot of time on arriving.3) Visiting Azores are allowed: - RT-PCR Test - 72h before boarding, or Imunity declaration (for those who already had COVID-19, for example), or a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate - Passengers may perform free test on arrival and wait the result in prophylactic isolation (between 12 to 24 hours for the result).- Children under 12 don’t need to present test.- Passengers without a valid EU COVID Digital Vaccination or Recovery Certificate: if the stay is longer than seven days, on the 6th day from the date SARS-CoV-2 first test was performed, the passenger must contact the health services of the county where is staying so that a second test can be performed.- All passengers need to fill Questionnaire at https://mysafeazores.com.
