Peggy Orenstein, an accomplished journalist, interviewed some 200 young men about their sex lives and general relationships with women. The men opened up to her, confessing their insecurities, frustrations with their gender roles, and the desire to have been taught more about their body and the female body. Orenstein explores many intersections of masculinity --race, physical appearance, and family life-- and arrived at the conclusion that opening a dialogue for men and boys is the only solution to "toxic masculinity".
