A community space for writing and sharing memories in Spanish
“Your Words: Memoir Writing Workshop” will engage Spanish-speaking and bilingual adults and seniors in Queens who want to begin writing and sharing their memories, offering a safe and supportive space to explore their stories and build community through creative writing. The workshop includes five in-person, three-hour sessions where participants will draft and develop their work and collaborate on the title and cover design of a collective anthology of their stories. Before the anthology goes to print, each writer will meet individually with the instructor for revision. The project will culminate in a public reading where participants will share their stories with friends, family, and the broader community.
