A ton of people's consensus number one guy in this class, but his injury-riddled season along with questions about his work ethic and love for basketball could cause him to dip a little bit. Through all of that, you are getting the best naturally gifted scorer in this class. Great shooter with good form and upwards motion, works great on catch and shoot as well as off the dribble. Really underrated defender, slides his feet well and has good hands and long arms. Not a willing passer, will make the play if needed but will be his biggest area of improvement. Peterson's camp is telling teams that he projects to be a point guard in the NBA, so we will see how that develops and turns out as the process goes along. I don't think the work ethic thing will be a factor at the next level (see Anthony Edwards pre-draft issue) with the NBA being his ultimate goal.

One of my personal favorite prospects in this class, a kid who has the size and length to play at the next level as a two-way guy. His athleticism is off the charts, and ability to finish above and around the rim is up with the top of the class. Above average rebounder due to his long wingspan and positioning. Defensively sound, really solid shot blocker, doesn't foul much from this one season. at North Carolina. His perimeter shooting is about as nonexistent as it could be with only 7 makes on 27 attempts in his shortened season. Fractured his hand in the second-half of the season, then broke his thumb when he was a game away from returning. His playstyle and athleticism will allow him to be a top tier frontcourt prospect in the NBA.

Projecting him to be the best overall guard prospect in the class as he is a well-rounded player. Awesome defender, who is pesky and gets into the mix of it, with good hands and athleticism to help out of position defenders. High-level playmaker and ball handler who limits turnovers. Scoring wise, he loves and looks the most comfortable scoring off the dribble. Explosive when attacking at the rim, loves the quick dribble pull up from the mid-range. His only knock is the lack of three point presence. When he shoots them, the form and ability to make is there. For some reason, he doesn't take many attempts. No real flaws outside of potentially his size, but that will come as age goes too. Easily most complete guard in class despite late season hype on other guards.

First of the National Championship team to land in the first round. As the oldest player in the class, Lendeborg can do it all for whoever takes him. Physical, explosive player who will finish at the rim with ease. Great shooter for his position and size. Defensively will be a game changer for a team. Can guard his position but also can handle some guards due to his footwork and long wingspan to make up getting beat. Biggest attribute he has is his motor, this is a guy who is 100% go at all times and makes winning plays on both sides of the ball. His biggest weakness is his often struggles on the glass where he is not in position at times. Numbers don't take into account the size on the court with him on his team. This is a winning player that a team with a lottery pick that's looking to win now will jump all over.

The second of three Michigan guys projected in this first round and it comes with one of the tallest guys in this class. Mara had a great end to the season, including during their title run, that shot him up boards late. You can't teach size, and he has that, uses it to his advantage inside as a scorer going to his post hook. Obviously he finishes above the rim as a lob threat really well. Defensively he is great. Top tier shot blocker obviously but also moves his feet surprisingly well for his size. His biggest secret weapon is his passing, and he is elite for his position at that. He unfortunately isn't the heaviest big man to play, so he runs into that issue guarding other bigs. Rebounding only comes with his size so there's advantages and disadvantages. Non-shooter, although has attempted some.

I think Labaron might jump back up for me in my rankings after a while watching more of his tape to see the player I was extremely high on at the beginning of the season. Really talented offensive player, can get a bucket at all three levels with being a very efficient perimeter shooter. Improved passer from last year with being the primary ball handler and showed promising flashes. Good handle, especially through traffic. Defensively he is an average to below average grade. Size doesn't go on his side and he tends to lose track of his man in situations. Not the most athletic player either, so teams who are looking for that might pass up on Philon. Overall he's a safe pick as an offensive prospect who has shown he can score at the highest level collegiately.

A true highlight reel type of player with his elite athleticism and bounce, Carr is one I am looking forward to seeing how he tests at the combine this next month. He is incredible going downhill and attacking the basket at ease and wanting to finish through contact. Really solid shooter with a good overall form, looks pretty from the corner. Defensively he has the motor and athleticism combined with size to be an above average defender in the NBA. Right now he tends to force a little too much and not look for the right play/pass comapred to trying to do it himself. He will need to get better off the ball defensively making sure he doens't give up cuts. Nonetheless, this is a guy a fringe playoff team would love to get for explosive plays.

Swain has jumped up mightily since the beginning of this college basketball seaosn, and it's due to his breakout play early on in his first year at Texas. Gets to the rim with the best of those in his class, with an elite slashing ability. His first move off the dribble is explosive, and is just the same as a cutter or running in transition. Has shown the ability to shoot but doesn't do so at a high volume, shot is kind of slow. Smart player with the ball in his hands, finds mismatches with teammates, not going to force shots just to do so. Defensively he crashes the glass well for his position and size. Not much to be too excited about as a defender on ball, but is very solid as a weak side and help defender, where he gets a ton of recovery blocks. Will be a good high-energy spark plug early on in his career.

Was one of the top players in his recruitment class, Ament had a solid freshman year with the Vols. He has good size and length for his position and playstyle, which makes him valuable alone. High arcing shot that he loves to use in the mid-range, especially on dribble pull ups off screens. Wasn't the most efficient 3pt shooter, but with his form and length, he could end up being extremely valuable, as he moves very well off the ball. Defensively he is not really anything to get excited about. Slower feet, gets blown by easily but also not a big enough frame to handle 4's and 5's. The upside with Ament is there and a team with multiple firsts should take a flyer on a guy who played better late in the season before his injury.

Cenac is a very intriguing prospect to watch out for due to his size and athleticism. He is a guy who can go finish above the rim very well, and attacks the rim off the dribble with a ton of explosiveness. He is very solid on the glass, and tends to outmatch other rebounders due to his athleticism and flying in from the outside to make an effort on the play. With his quickness, he uses it defensively to be switchable on the perimeter. He has shown the willingness to shoot but will need to improve on that end. Cenac tends to have games and moments where he can go invisible on the court offensively. Also gets in foul trouble at times due to overaggressive shot block attempts. Good energy big that could turn into something more.

Karim Lopez played his last season in the NBL, and I am currently in the process of finding my new way of watching NBL game tape, as my old way is no longer available. So until then, I can only base it on highlights that I have seen. From this it looks like Lopez has a good frame and size for the next level. Good shot and the ability to get to the basket, while also operating with his back to the basket. Scouts expect him to be a valuable 2-way option for whoever drafts him. International guys are always a question mark due to competition, but he has had to guard NBA competition like Torrey Craig, Bryce Cotton, and Troy Brown Jr.

Peat looks like he could either play the 4 for your favorite NBA team, or line up on the line for a 3rd down stop on Sundays. His body is advanced for his age, which makes him very interesting to project. Super athletic and finishes strong around the rim and is a top tier lob threat. Moves feet well defensively for his size, and uses his athleticism to be a good rim protector. Really decent passer, good awareness and vision on the court. Biggest issue for him is he is a non-threat from three, like 17 attempts all year. If he can develop any outside shot at all, he will outplay his projection. With him being 19, he is worth taking a shot on for his size and athleticism. Even if he doesn't end up developing a shot, turning himself into a Draymond Green-like player would be perfect.

Every year there is a mid-major player that sneaks their way in the back end of the first and then every team falls in love with him. This year that is Allen Graves of Santa Clara, who is currently in the portal and deciding whether to transfer or go to the NBA. Graves is a do it all type of player, that is a bigger wing that is a hybrid 3-4. Uses body to get inside and score with his back to the basket primarily, and is a solid shooter from the perimeter. Defensively, he is as good as anyone else in this draft. He is a rare hybrid of being able to get steals and blocks as well. Doesn't have trouble with many bigs, and is able to stay in front of ball handlers. His only knock is he isn't he fastest guy, especially when it comes to his quickness with the ball in his hands. His role will be different in the NBA that will only enhance his good skills. Win-now player.

Veesaar is someone I talked about in my Mock Draft 1.0 as a guy who surprised me a ton after watching more film on him, and now after guys announced they would return to college, he slides up into my top 30. Great size and ability to finish around and above the rim, and can stretch the floor which is extremely valuable for his position and today's NBA. Very good on the glass obviously due to his size, but lacks on rebounding offensively compared to defensively. Would hope for some more rim protection based on his size but I assume at the next level he will be just fine. Really good as a passer and knows where to hit his guys on the court, tons of experience at the college level between both UNC and Arizona.

Conwell is a player who is benefitting mightily from the deadline of whether to stay or go back to school. With some other guards opting to go back to college, Conwell now becomes intriguing to teams at the end of the 1st/beginning of the 2nd. A true scorer, can do so at all three levels, and is a plus 3pt shooter despite the percentage this past year. Everywhere he has played, he has continued to get better and score more and more. At the next level, he would be that spark plug shooter to come off the bench. Would not classify him as a "point guard" due to his lack of playmaking ability, but he can handle being on the ball with his shot creation. Not the biggest of guys so defensively, he isn't the greatest, but he is not a negative. Just seems like one of those guys that every team overthinks and ends up in the league for a decade.
