Auralis, a country that is known for its calm rivers and breathtaking nature has been disturbed for the past three weeks. Heavy floods have been damaging our land. Our homes and farms have suffered a lot of damage and people are starting to feel defeated. Scientists say all this heavy rain is caused by the climate change going on in the world. Though not everyone believes that. Some say the spirits of the land are unhappy with us and this is their way of taking revenge.  

Revenge by the spirits 

Something we live by in our community is respecting the holy spirits. Multiple daily rituals take place to show them how grateful we are for our land and all the blessings they provide us with. However, not all citizens of Auralis always participate in these rituals. The younger generation keeps growing into more critical thinkers. They're a generation that refuses to blindly believe every folklore they're told. So in rebellion they refuse to participate in some rituals. Many elders believe this is the real reason behind these floods. They say the holy spirits can feel the shift in energy and are now punishing us for it. They even go as far as saying that if we keep going down this path, doomsday will come even earlier than we'd expect. 

What to do when you're in need 

Whatever you believe the cause might be behind these floods, we still have to face the consequences. A lot of people have lost their homes and belongings. It's important that our community is even stronger during these difficult times. Help your neighbour where you can and share every bit food you can spare. If you are in serious need, you can always talk to the head of your clan. May the spirits keep Auralis safe.
