Mr. Livelsberger drove a cybertruck with gasoline, fireworks, and explosives in the back. He then ignited it and also supposedly shot himself. The reason why he did it outside of Trump's Hotel in Las Vegas was to get his attention. Matthew was a very big Trump supporter and made sure not to do any damage to the building. 

Matthew was about to blow the whistle on what all the mysterious drones we had seen in our sky were doing. Matthew wrote in an email that the drones were being used to try and kill President-Elect Trump. He also explained how the secret drone technology worked like 'Anti-gravity propulsion systems.'  

In the email, he said he wanted to get onto Fox News and other news outlets to expose this technology. He also explained in the email that Homeland Security and other governmental organizations were coming after him. He knew he didn't have a lot of time before the government got him and he knew they would probably kill him because they do not want this information to be leaked. 

So Matthew decided he needed a way to bring mass attention to this. It was smart to do this explosion in a cyber truck & outside Trump's hotel to get Elon Musk and Trump's attention. He knew it would also make mainstream news, which it did. 

If it were for Matthew sacrificing himself, people would have not investigated him blowing the whistle on this crazy drone technology. He also wanted to warn Trump how the drones were being used to try and kill him.
