Police brutality is a major topic in the news and media, with more and more cases every day. The streets of America ring out with cries of, "Black lives matter!" and "All cops are bad!" Now with recent events involving police brutality and the deaths of unarmed African Americans many are fed up with the system than ever. Calling for changes to be made all across the world. Some people are even calling for the defunding of the police, but what does that mean? In this podcast I will explore the topic of police brutality and defunding the police, giving relevant facts and information on the topic. I will be using information from 6 expert scholarly sources to help present relevant information on the subject and sub-topics. With studies on everything from black crime statistics to the rate of police violence on African Americans to how the relationship between black Americans and the police reflects into African American culture such as films and music. Join me on todays podcast where we will tackle police brutality and the reality of defunding the police, as I give you the information to answer the question.
