What is Credit Score Range?

Credit scores typically range from 300 to 850, with higher scores indicating better creditworthiness. The credit score range will vary slightly depending on the credit bureau and scoring model used.

Here is a general breakdown of credit score ranges and what they typically mean:

Different lenders and credit issuers will have their own criteria or scoring system for what they consider a good credit score. Generally, a score of 700 or higher is considered good, as it shows that you are a responsible borrower and are less risky to lend money to.

How Often Should I Check my Credit Report?

It's a good idea to check your credit report at least once a month to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.

This will allow you to catch any errors or fraudulent activity on your report and take action to correct it.

How I check My Credit

It is very easy to sign up for Credit Karma and check your Credit History/Report there.

In addition, you may want to consider checking your credit report more frequently if you are actively working to improve your credit score or if you have been a victim of identity theft or fraud in the past. Some credit monitoring services also provide regular updates on changes to your credit report and credit score, which can help you stay on top of your credit health.

You can also sign up for Credit Karma to notify you of changes to your credit history.  I use CK to notify me by email of any activity in my credit accounts.  If a new account is applied for I will get an email from Credit Karma.
