As well as removing applications, incomplete program uninstalls left behind by other programs and other invalid applications, it also highlights any newly installed programs for easy identification. I have a surface pro running windows 10 home. I cannot uninstall Norton because the 'select your uninstall preference' window does not display the data completely - the radio buttons are not displayed (these are still to the right of the window. The window cannot be resized. I have seen this issue raised elsewhere on the forum, but no solution was found and then the issue was 'closed'.

This is usually related to your display settings being set for greater than 100% magnification. Check your settings and temporarily reset them to default and then try your uninstall again. You can restore your display settings after the uninstall.

Not the solution. I saw that this was your recommendation on the previous closed thread on this, but the OP did not accept that as a resolution and nor do I. As did the OP in the original thread, I tried resizing and it did not work.

This is good, but when installer run ExecWait uninstaller first, it finish instantly, but doesn't uninstall application actualy. As a result, installer tries to replace executable file that executed, but not closed by uninstaller yet. Any solution?

I'm working on a windows 10 app but I've noticed that when I uninstall it it's icon remains in the notification & actions window. what would I need to do or add to my uninstaller to allow it to remove this icon. This is what what uninstaller look like in my .nsi script

The best solution is probably to have your application hide the notifications since it already contains notification code. Run something like ExecWait '"$InstDir\MyApp.exe" /uninstall' at the start of your uninstaller.

Anything an installer does, an uninstaller can do, because one of the options in the uninstaller might be Repair or Reinstall. If the Programs and Features folder waited for all child processes to exit, then it might end up concluding that the uninstaller never finished because some random background task is still running.
