Privacy Policy for Anti-Theft Alarm

Anti-Theft Alarm ("we," "us," or "our") provides security and protection services for your mobile device. Your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the Anti-Theft Alarm mobile application (the "App").
1. Important: Use of Sensitive Permissions
To provide its core security features, the App requires access to sensitive Android permissions. By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to the use of:
Device Administrator Permission (BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN): This is used strictly to detect failed screen-unlock attempts (wrong PIN/Pattern/Password). This allows the App to trigger the "Intruder Selfie" feature. It also helps prevent unauthorized uninstallation of the App by a thief.
Camera Access: Used solely for the Intruder Selfie feature. When a failed unlock attempt is detected, the App uses the front camera to take a photo of the person attempting to access your phone.
Microphone/Audio Recording: Used for sound-detection alarms (e.g., triggering an alarm if a specific noise level is reached).
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): The App runs a foreground service to ensure your device remains protected even when the App is in the background. This is required for motion detection, charger-disconnect alerts, and continuous monitoring.
Internet Permission: Used for normal app flow or for Google Admob. We do not misuse permissions or collect unnecessary data.
System Alert Window: Used to display the alarm screen over other apps when a theft attempt is detected.
2. Information Collection and Use
A. Personal Data (Locally Stored)
Intruder Photos: Photos captured by the "Intruder Selfie" feature are stored locally on your device. We do not upload these photos to our servers, and we do not have access to them.
Settings: Your alarm preferences and configurations are stored locally.
B. Non-Personal Data (Collected by Third Parties)
We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our App:
Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics): Used to collect anonymized data such as device model, OS version, and crash reports to help us improve app stability.
Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect your advertising ID (AAID) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads according to Google's policies.
Google Play Billing: Used for processing in-app purchases or subscriptions securely.
3. Data Safety & Disclosure
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.
Local Processing: Most of the "smart" features (motion detection, intruder capture) happen entirely on your device without sending data to the cloud.
4. Security
We value your trust in providing us your information. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers (if applicable).
6. User Control & Permission Revocation
You can enable or disable permissions (Camera, Device Admin, etc.) at any time through the App's settings or your device’s system settings. Please note that disabling these permissions will prevent the App from performing its security functions (e.g., the alarm won't trigger on failed password attempts if Device Admin is disabled).
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
