The instructor is the best lecturer I've ever had. He's so clear and meticulous, and always explains core concepts. Instead of reading off the slides, he words them in his own way and expands upon what's in the slides. The usefulness of his lectures motivated me to actually go the lecture, rather than take the notes independently. The assignments, tutorials, practices and quizzes were great ways of testing knowledge. Overall this was a very high quality course.
Youngjoo was very nice, funny, and was always knowledgeable about the subjects he was teaching. He was always prepared and seemed like one of the more responsible TA's. He always graded our tests fairly and in a timely manner and was always willing to answer questions. One of the biggest strengths of the TA section was getting the information presented to me in a new way. I liked when Youngjoo wrote things out on the blackboard in a different way than it was presented in lecture or when he provided us with a different way to think about a certain topic.
The TA is not only responsible but also very patient. He patiently helped us to sort out the knowledge points.
I think that the instructor did an excellent job of providing availability for all students. If you needed extra help or even wanted to talk over a problem he would go out of his way to make himself available. I could also see the comfortability grow as the semester went on.
Major strengths were that he always knew how to clear up any confusion and give examples that helped us better understand the topic.
Very nice, and passionate about economics. He was good at explaining the major topics and he was always open to questions.
