All three campuses have kicked off the school year with great enthusiasm and energy, and we couldn't be more excited about the progress we’re making together. We are thrilled to highlight Smith Elementary for their outstanding punctuality in submitting artifacts and data! Their commitment to excellence sets a fantastic example for our community.
In our recent cross-campus alignment meeting, we celebrated the collaborative spirit that is driving our Advanced Academics Program forward. Participants shared invaluable resources, including our artifact submission calendar, lesson plans, and GT certification information. This collaborative environment sparked a wealth of ideas and clarifications around expectations, enabling coordinators from math, science, and RLA to work together effectively.
As we wrapped up the first marking period , we want to continue to grow and make this program the best it can be in its first year of inception. Thank you for all that you have done. The next campus walks will take place October 23rd. Feedback will be given using the Advanced Academic feedback form.
To further motivate and encourage our advanced 4th and 5th graders to be creative and innovative, here are some tips and tricks:
Encourage Exploration: Provide opportunities for students to explore topics of interest beyond the classroom. This could include research projects, creative writing, or hands-on experiments.
Foster a Growth Mindset: Remind students that mistakes are part of the learning process. Encourage them to take risks and view challenges as opportunities to grow.
Incorporate Technology: Utilize digital tools and resources that allow students to express their creativity, such as coding platforms, digital art programs, or online collaboration tools.
Create a Supportive Environment: Establish a classroom culture that values creativity and innovation. Celebrate unique ideas and encourage peer feedback.
Set Goals Together: Help students set personal goals for their projects and encourage them to reflect on their progress regularly.
We are looking forward to visiting your campuses later this month.
